Austin J. Bailey’s “Magemother: The Mage and the Magpie”

Welcome to this week’s book review. Now that Flowers and Bones is with the editor, we are working on fixing a few issues with Demons Among Us, a story currently called For Love, and soon we’ll be plotting the next books Death in a Headlock and Dancing with Demons. A quick note before starting the book review, this book’s target audience is middle school aged children. If you know or have middle schoolers this might be a good book for them.

This story is a journey. The main characters are searching for different things: for a mother, a daughter, and a dream. The thematic questions range from “How do you follow your passions when your family is against it” to “What is courage?” Questions people of all ages can relate to. The character arcs are encouraging. I highly recommend this book to all ages.

Mr. Bailey currently has the Magemother trilogy and novella in the same world and the first in a series called Simon Fayter and the Doors of Bones. He can be found on his website here: http://austinjbailey.com/ or Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/kindle-dbs/entity/author/B00X6BE1BO or iBooks here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/id1051559584 or on Kobo here: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/search?query=Austin%20J.%20Bailey&fcsearchfield=Author .

Remember if you download or buy this book to rate and review on your favorite platform. Your reviews matter. Next week’s book is Janean Worth’s “After the Fall” a story after the world rebuilds itself. Kara runs to survive and begins to learn the truth from the lies told in her home of GateWide. This looks to be an interesting book and I look forward to posting about it. See you next week!
