I.A. Ashcroft's Eclipse of the Sun

I hope all of you have enjoyed the poetry this week. This week’s book review is I.A. Ashcroft’s Eclipse of the Sun. I’ve been waiting to review this book for awhile. Just a quick note, my review is of an ARC and as soon as it’s published this review will be going on Amazon.

I was truly brief with Raven Song and that’s unfortunate. Raven Song is about finding out who you are and the potential each person has to be special. Eclipse of the Sun starts immediately after Raven Song ends. There are several questions asked in this book that are apt for young adults to adults. Is being yourself enough? Can you be a better person? What is betrayal? Did someone twist the situation you’re in to suite their version of the truth? Can you grip your courage in both hands and make it to the other side? What is evil? What is good? Are a few questions this book asks. Some of them are answered here through Anna and Jackson’s journey. The answers though may surprise you. There are at least two more books planned in this series. I for one would like to read more and am excited to read more in Inoki’s world.

I.A. Ashcroft writes Dystopian, Science Fiction, and Dark Fantasy. Ashcroft can be on to their website here: http://www.ia-ashcroft.com/ or Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/i.a.ashcroft/ or Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/I.-A.-Ashcroft/e/B01CTY42S0 . Sign up for I. A. Ashcroft’s newsletter on their website. Be sure to buy and review a copy of Raven Song then Eclipse of the Sun!

Next week’s book review will be Drowning Mermaids Sacred Breath by Nadia Scrieva. This looks to be a Paranormal Romance between a fisherman and a mermaid princess. I look forward to finding out more. See you next week!
