K.A. Poe’s “Twin Souls”
Welcome to this week’s book review. You may have noticed I missed Tuesday but I’m still wrapped up in rewrites for Flowers and Bones. I did manage to get this done. So, onto my review.
Poe’s Twin Souls is different than Gladden’s Twin Souls. The latter comes from a Pueblo Native American belief about people being one soul then split into two and we look for them as the other half of souls. The former, however, is about a young woman finding out that she’s a vampire hunter. In addition, she falls in love with a vampire. What I like about this book is the gripping pace and the character’s discoveries of what makes family. There’s a trend in YA or NA fiction in which the book is done first person. If you like hints of Edgar Allen Poe and vampires this book is for you. This is a free ebook.
K.A. Poe writes YA Fantasy. She has multiple series Nevermore, Forevermore, Eventide, Ani’mari Saga, and more. Ms. Poe can be found on her website here: http://www.kaylapoe.com/ or Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/K.A.-Poe/e/B007SC67G4 or Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/kaylapoe or Tumbler here: https://authorkapoe.tumblr.com/tagged/forevermore .
Next week’s review will be Cate Dean’s “More than a Feeling.” From the description it looks like the question does the past leave us or does it inform the present will be what the story is about. See you then!
