Pippa DaCosta’s Beyond the Veil
Sorry this is a little late today, but I’m not feeling well at the moment. I have also been working on Flowers and Bones to get it ready to go to L. McCaslin. More on L is coming. Now, onto this week’s book review.
Beyond the Veil is a story about a half-demon half-human young woman, named Muse. Muse is a well thought out character. Her arc within the story is interesting and engaging. The pace of this book is gripping and fast. I enjoyed the play with traditional demonology, but I dislike the lack of divine in the book. I liked a more balanced approach to angels and demons. If you don’t like first person narrative this book may not be for you.
Pippa DaCosta writes fantasy and science fiction. She has multiple series written. The Veil and Chaos Rising series are set in the same world on opposite coasts. In addition to the two in the same world, her other work includes Soul Eater series, 1000 Revolution series, London Fae series, and the current standalone called the Heartstone Thief.

I hope you enjoyed today’s book review. Next week’s book review will be indie author C.H. Knyght’s Nightvision: Twilight about shapeshifters. It should be an interesting twist on the trope. Also on Tuesday look for a feature on are Editor L. McCaslin. They can do different types of editing, so stay tuned for more information. See you next week.
