Eva Pohler’s The Gatekeeper’s Sons

I apologize that his running a little later than normal, as I said life and using NaNoWriMo for finish edits for our forthcoming book Flowers and Bones has taken a good of time. Now onto this week’s book.

This week’s books bring the Greek gods into the modern world in a completely different way than the Percy Jackson series. What I like about this book one, are the characters. The heroine is a young woman dealing with losing loved ones and finding love with the god of death. Both are surprised by the developments and figuring out how to be together is one of the struggles in the book. Other questions that come up are how much is life worth? Is a good person’s life more important than the life of criminal’s? What choice would you make for justice? What is justice? What’s lovely about this is each of us has a different answer. The heroine must make her own choices to answer those questions. There are surprise twists throughout this entire book. I would recommend giving this book a try. Free is everyone’s budget, so give it a try.

In addition to writing Greek myth and modern life mixes, Eva Pohler writes fantasy and mystery books. She can be found on her website here: http://www.evapohler.com/books/ or Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Eva-Pohler/e/B009D0TAZ4 .

Next week’s book review will be Becca Mills’ Nolander: Emanations. A young woman, monsters, and politics… I’m thinking I’m going to enjoy this ride. Stay tuned!
